Below we provide a short list with some of the popular lodges in the Amazon Rainforest of Bolivia. Our list is in order of price with the cheapest lodge first. The description from each lodge comes from their own website. We made this list to make it easier to compare the different lodges. And we hope our list makes it easier for you to find the lodge that suits you best.
It takes around 3 ½ hours to navigate by motorized canoe from Rurrenabaque to our Caracoles Eco Lodge. Our lodge is located on the shores of the Yacuma River, surrounded by savannas and forests. Therefore its location makes the lodge a perfect starting point for tours into the Bolivian Pantanal.
The wildlife in this area consists of: caimans, alligators, monkeys, capybaras, anacondas and numerous bird species! Unlike in the rainforest most of these animals can easily been seen from boats travelling the Yacuma River.
We built our lodge in harmony with the surrounding nature. And the architecture of Caracoles Eco Lodge follows environmental design and management guidelines. The lodge has a hammock and social areas and offers limited energy from solar panels.
Our accommodation varies between comfortable cabins, rooms and dorms. All rooms feature: mosquito nets and a private bathroom.

Our beautiful cabins are set on the banks of the Tuichi River, 3 hours away from Rurrenabaque by boat. Previously this lodge was called Tacuaral Ecolodge.
We opened the Madidi Jungle Eco Lodge in 2011 as a low-impact rainforest eco-venture. Our Indigenous Eco lodge is created and managed for 100% by indigenous people. All of us grew up in the heart of Bolivias Madidi National Park.
Our lodge is built on a prime location for wildlife viewing, and serves as the base for a variety of hikes of different lengths.
Our accommodation consists of 4 private rooms with private bathrooms and 6 private rooms with shared bathrooms. You can choose between marital rooms, twin rooms and triple rooms. There are 4 separate bathrooms available for the shared bathroom option. All our rooms come with towels, other bathroom essentials and mosquito nets. We also provide hammocks for relaxing and reading after your jungle hikes.
At the eco lodge we make every effort to be as sustainable and environmentally friendly as possible. Electricity is provided by alternative energy sources and is only available for four hours in the evening. Water for washing facilities is sourced from a natural spring. We also recycle organic waste on site and take any inorganic waste back to Rurrenabaque to be recycled.

It takes five hours by boat to reach the most known lodge from the Bolivian Amazon, our Chalalán Eco Lodge.
We are the indigenous people of San José de Uchupiamonas and are the owners of the Chalalán Ecolodge. Because of our Quechua-Tacanas roots, our town has created a culture rich in ancestral traditions that endure over time. Sharing our lifestyle, flavors and festivities will contribute to make your stay unforgettable. In return your stay will contribute to improve the quality of life of the local community and support the conservation of the environment. With Chalalán we are responsible for the conservation of 10,000 hectares. This land is located within the indigenous territory of San José de Uchupiamonas in the hearth of the Madidi National Park.
We are committed to the use of clean energy. We take care of our waste water and solid waste in the best way possible with help of the park management.
